Goldenacre Bowling Club, Edinburgh (36a Warriston Gardens)

<body> Goldenacre Bowling Club Established in 1942. We are located just over a mile from Edinburgh City centre in pleasant surrounding at 36a Warriston Gardens. Beginners of any age are always welcome, and free training and instruction are available through our trained coaching staff. We are proud of our Junior members who benefit from the fun and competitive side of bowls We also provide for "serious" bowlers, and our members include the 2006 Scottish Singles Champion and other major trophy winners and Scottish International representatives. You can therefore play at whatever competitive level suits you best, but we are also keen to encourage the social side of the game. The Club was founded in 1942 and continues to go from strength to strength attracting bowlers of all ages from 8 to 80, and all abilities from complete beginners to experienced international bowlers We are currently in the process of a major redevelopment in collaboration with the Carlton Bridge Club which will include a brand new Clubhouse with up to the minute facilities, and we hope that this will be completed for the start of the 2008-bowling season. Updates on the progress of this project will be given from time to time to keep everyone up to date.
